A VMware Certified Professional (VCP) is an IT professional who has demonstrated technical competence in installing, configuring, managing, and optimizing VMware vSphere environments. It's a globally recognized certification that signals you can handle VMware solutions in production data centers.

  • Review the official exam blueprint. The questions are drawn directly from it
  • Use our study guide packed with interactive items and simulation tools.
  • Take official mock exams to simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Attend a VMware-authorized training course, such as Install, Configure, Manage v5.0. It’s also a certification requirement
  • Engage with community forums and Reddit for peer support and exam tips

Yes. It was retired on November 30, 2015, and is no longer available for new registrations. Those who earned the certification before that date may still carry their credential, but can't be newly certified through VCP-510.

If you passed the exam before the retirement date, your certification remains valid until its standard expiration or recertification date. To stay current, you'll need to upgrade to a newer VCP version (like VCP-DCV 6.x or later).
